What's All The Excitement About?

K, so. I'm not being super consistent here, but I think by now you have learned to expect that from me:)
My life lately has been anticipation and a giant build-up. Oh ho, so you ask what this anticipation is for?
COLLEGE!
Dun, dun, DUN!
So yeah. I've been organizing and packing and contacting people about job possibilities and getting excited watching videos from last year of the college...
Also, quite a bit of praying and trusting God has been going on for me:)
Which is fantastic, because I feel closer to Him than ever before! It's such a wonderful feeling; knowing that HE has everything worked out and planned for me.
It's super far away, can you guess where?
California!
Yeah, that's what I thought too: Holy guacamole! That's so far away!
But truly, I believe this is what will be best for me. I won't have to borrow any money this year! Which is a HUGE praise! :D And I'm flying out there in a little more than a week with my parents.
Wow. Just to think, last year I was all excited that I got to visit, and now I'm almost there to stay!
(These photos are from when we flew out there last year to visit. There was so much to shoot! At the college I was so impressed by just... Everything! I can hardly wait!)
Happy Tuesday!

A Week Of Growth

So much happened this past week; it was lovely.

The theme at Camp JIM was "Extreme Renovation" and boy did God renovate ME! I kinda didn't expect that. I was all like, "Yay, I'll work at camp for the first time and help kids!" Ha, I was the one who was helped too:)
I met so many wonderful people, reunited with others, and grew in my faith so much! It was an amazing summer; it seemed to go by in a whirlwind of excitement, hard times to work through, and fantastic Christian fellowship and so many new friendships:)
I got home and was just tired. Emotionally, spiritually, and physically! But I had FUN. Even through the problems and troubling things, the other counselors and staff were so encouraging:) God taught me SO much and I hope I was able to help others as well!
I'm thanking God for all the people working at camp and praying for them all!

Allison had tons of fun with my camera and took this picture as well as quite a few other ones that I love;)

I am praying that I'll be able to work next year, too! :D
Later y'all, I'm going to sleep!

Before The Excitement Begins

Later today I'm leaving for camp! I just got back (on Sunday) from attending camp, now I'm going to work there!
 Awesomesauce!
Seriously fun stuff there, guys. At Camp Jim, I mean :D
These photos are a small peek at what I've been doing this past week:)
My dog had puppies (praising God that they're all sold to wonderful homes) and they are almost five weeks old. So yeah, that's been fun and interesting:)
For our Fourth of July we had a campfire, set off some fireworks, ate a special cake that my sister made (it was red and blue with whipped cream frosting and cherries on top. Just YUM.), and generally talked and laughed.
This photo would've been perfect if he had moved the sparkler a little to the side, but, this way is interesting I suppose:P
Yes, I love puppies, so they deserved another picture:) This one is "Tonka." He just has to be the cutest, of course, I say that about all of them, but...
Oh, and this post is named such because I am so excited for camp! My first time being a counselor. So, I'll need a lot of prayer you guys, working with 8 to 10 year-old's can be super fun but it's a lot of responsibility for me.
Before the excitement begins, I must pack:)
See ya soon raccoon!

Bloglovin' [About, Etc.]

Whelp, it looks like this is actually happening. Google Friend Connect (aka "Followers") is shutting down soon  and this is a recommendation and/or  reminder for y'all! If you want to keep following my blog then you can use Bloglovin' :)
(Edit: The widget is still here and technically you can still "follow", however you will not receive any feed updates due to the fact that google reader has officially shut down. So in a way it is sort of like a dead link.)
That's right, new horizons. Change is inevitable, but sometimes for the better:)
I have been using it for the last month or so, and I really like it. I love to read blogs and all, but sometimes it's overwhelming for me to try to keep up with all the posts and remember which ones I read, etc.
Bloglovin' is helpful and useful and really quite simple to use. If you want a full tutorial and explanation about this, then here is an excellent link to see:  http://nutritionella.com/2012/12/my-new-favorite-reader-a-bloglovin-tutorial/

Keep looking up! (And look me up on bloglovin! Here ya go: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/5621471/f-a-picture-bg )

And a very good evening to you, ladies and gentlemen!

Flash Back

Back to two-thousand and seven!

Back when I lived in sweet Florida:)

This last one's for you Christy:) I know how much you LOVE spiders!

I know, I'm sorry:)
I hate spiders too, but not as much as snakes!

A Whole Year of... Blogging!

Yes, that's right, I've been blogging for a fantastic year! (Give or take a few days:P)

See? There's only one candle in that (oh-so-yummy) rootbeer float :D  Which was for my birthday but it applies to my little blog as well.

Have some cake or cookies today on me! Weeelll, you can't, but if I could let you I would. It's the thought that counts right?

I feel obliged to link to my first post, it only has one picture but it's my favorite one:)

(I also use it to host buttons and drawings so I don't accidentally delete them from my computer.)

The First Day

This was the first day of the rest of my life; just being a year older. It's funny, you always think that it will feel much different to turn "that age" but really, the difference is only you realizing the responsibility that you have now.
Huh, thinking about the possibilities of my future, the responsibilities, and the wonderful ways in which God will work has just got me very... thoughtful; prayerful.
Whelp, later y'all:)

PS: I did an interview of sorts over at Erin's awesome blog: http://writedreamrunsing.blogspot.com/2013/05/tell-me-eli.html
Take a little look if you feel so inclined:)

Pet Peeves

(Happy May!)

So, yes. These things have been getting on my nerves lately. It takes quite a bit to annoy me, but here are my top five; ranked in no particular order.

Open Doors
This bugs me to no end when I walk in and see every single door open. Don't ask me why, there's just something inherently wrong with that. At least to me:)

Open Cupboards

The same thing as doors, but smaller!

Ladybugs:
It's getting warmer and warmer (it was 40 degrees yesterday!) so the ladybugs have hatched (?) or done whatever they do and now they're back inside.
They are everywhere, literally, everywhere. Whether alive or dead, they stink. Very badly. Last year there were so many  we had to go around vacuuming the little buggers up. I fear the same may happen this year.

Tangled Earphones

I know they aren't that tangled, I wasn't willing to do that and have to untangle them:P I think another one is tangled Christmas lights! I just thought of that! Ha, yeah that's always a fun time of decorating:)

The last and most certainly my biggest pet peeve:
                                                                 This.
Oh internet. You bring out the best and the worst in us:)

Honorable mention: Deleting things by accident and having no way to get them back. Like, pictures. One-of-a-kind, extra rare, special time-lapse photos. Yes, this just happened to me:(

So, do any of these things bother you as much as they do me?
Seriously, I've been posting "grumpy" stuff on here lately, I should do a happy post next time! (Unless something bad happens, then I'll have to do another grumpy post. :P )
